• The gate sags at the latch end and scrapes the ground or the track. This almost always traces back to a hinge weld that has stretched or cracked at the post. The metal fatigues slowly, and the gate drops a little more each month.
• The opener is straining, running slower, or tripping its thermal overload. A failing bracket or hinge changes the gate’s geometry, which forces the FAAC motor to push against added friction. The motor tells you before the metal gives way entirely.
